The First Time - Released August 1988

Hal’s first full length album of mainly original songs recorded in Nashville, Tennessee.  Nine out of ten songs are written or co-written by Hal between 1979 and 1988.

“I remember Joey Ambrose (my drummer) and myself walking the streets of Nashville when the album was in the finishing stages…we felt like we were on top of the world!”

The song “Goodnight”, written for his two children,
is Hal’s personal favorite!
